Mrs. Kuterbach – Music
Posted on September 24, 2009, by Mary Kuterbach, under Music.
Welcome back to another musical year at St. Elizabeth. Get your voices warmed up and ready to sing!
Kindergarten through fourth grade are exploring steady beat in music. The fifth and sixth grade classes are reviewing the basic elements of music with a focus on beat and rhythm. The seventh grade will review rhythm symbols and the musical staff. Eighth grade is trying desperately to get to the hand bells! We will also begin preparing for our Christmas Program, (date announced soon) which will be here before we know it!
All music classes have been listening to music from Johann Sebastian Bach. We have heard the Brandenburg Concerto No. 6, the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and the Badinerie from an Orchestral Suite by Bach.
Please remember to join us for our weekly student Masses where our students help lead the songs. I appreciate your continued support of the fine arts program at St. Elizabeth.
